Job Title: Controller
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Analysis & Costing
- Maintain and optimize Standard Costing systems, ensuring accurate BOMs (Bills of Materials) and routing.
- Perform deep-dive Variance Analysis (Labor, Material Price, Usage, and Overhead) to identify inefficiencies in the production line.
- Monitor and analyze "Scrap and Rework" costs—a critical metric in rubber processing—to drive continuous improvement.
2. Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to identify and track KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and conversion costs.
- Evaluate and justify Capital Expenditure (CapEx) requests, conducting ROI and payback period analyses for new machinery or automation.
- Identify "Cost-to-Fill" and "Cost-to-Serve" improvements within the supply chain.
3. Financial Guardship & Reporting
- Act is the preferred contact to the financial shared service
- Manage the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting cycles for the site.
4. Inventory & Asset Management
- Oversee cycle counting and annual physical inventory audits, specifically managing the complexities of raw polymer storage and work-in-progress (WIP) aging.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and asset disposals.
- Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. An MBA, CPA, or CMA is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, HFM, Qlick) and expert-level Excel skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to translate complex data sets into actionable business insights.
- Leadership: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, and HR).
