Hours: Mon-Thurs: 7AM – 5PM

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for safely performing all aspects of material receiving, storage, and shipping to support customer operations. This role ensures accurate inventory management, proper documentation, and efficient warehouse operations while adhering to Flint Group’s corporate policies, safety standards, and core values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Adhere to all safety policies, participate in safety training, and properly use PPE
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace using Lean and 5S principles
  • Unload trucks and inspect incoming materials for shipping and handling damage
  • Retrieve packing lists and verify product numbers, batch numbers, and quantities received
  • Pick orders per pick tickets, verifying accuracy and ensuring all items are properly prepared for shipment
  • Enter purchase order information into the ERP system and verify materials against purchase orders
  • Print product labels for each container or pallet received
  • Submit receiving documentation and labels to Quality Assurance for approval
  • Apply labels to approved materials and store in appropriate warehouse locations
  • Forward packing lists and bills of lading to Accounting
  • Load products onto appropriate trucks per Bill of Lading and packing instructions
  • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory within the ERP system
  • Maintain shipping dock and overall warehouse cleanliness
  • Assist with physical inventory counts
  • Support production operations as needed to ensure workflow continuity
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as business needs require
  • Ability to qualify and operate a forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to follow written instructions and procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
  • Frequent walking, bending, and material handling
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
