Lab Technician

Beaufort, SC 

This position is responsible for providing Laboratory Service to both internal and external customers in the Packaging Division.

Daily activities include color matching, formula manipulation, working closely with Plant Operation / Quality Control to ensure quality and formula integrity. These responsibilities should be carried out through the First Strike process and within the scope of the divisional initiatives.

Key job responsibilities:

• Deliver color matching projects using the internal tools
• Manage technical projects to ensure alignment with divisions product development labs and team goals.
• Assure the Flint Group Safety Culture is integrated throughout his/her work environment
• Provide support to the branch as needed

Competencies:

The following competencies would be beneficial.

• 1+ years of appropriate industry experience.
• Experience utilizing laboratory testing equipment (proofing methods, rub tester, C.O.F testing, etc)
• Strong ability to perform color matching and familiar with the use of visual spectrometers; X-Rite and/or Data Color
• Demonstrate ability to deliver multiply projects and assignments
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Computer literacy; Word and Excel
