Job Title: Technician, Lab
This role will learn our color matching formation process and will handle a variety of materials in a laboratory setting to match color and formulate inks and additives based on customer needs.
1. Work with raw materials in creation / formulation of ink. 2. Maintain a clean work environment. 3. Analyze & manage technical aspects of ink orders. 4. Apply advanced mathematical concepts to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. 5. Work with and interpret nonverbal symbolism such as formulae, scientific equations, and graphs. 6. Manage workload to department goals. 7. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables and conduct studies using the scientific method. 8. Work interdependently with other departments and team members. 9. Respond quickly and accurately to usual inquiries from customers. 10. Support the company safety programs including but not limited to AIB / OSHA / and SHARP program requirements as directed. 11. Adhere to all safety codes and standards. 12. Other duties and special projects as needed. The Lab Technician role has 3 levels. Demonstrated proficiency is required within a level, in order to be considered for movement to the next level. Level 1 1. Ability to match colors with assistance. 2. Can perform basic QC testing with assistance 3. Competent in PPS numbering systems. 4. Competent at basic lab process and procedures. 5. Competent at all SAP functions 6. Can use spectrophotometers and software with guidance. 7. Competent in using IFS and it's functions
