Job Title:  Maintenance & Electrical Technician

The Journeymen Technician will be responsibile for all repairs and preventitative maintenance needed to maintain the efficient operation of our production milling equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited to mixers, mills, pumps, filters, pneumatic compressors, and other manufacturing equipment. The person in this role will possess a versatile skill set encompassing basic electrical knowledge, welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, problem-solving abilities, proficiency in web-based applications, Microsoft Suite, and strong analytical skills. The maintenance technician will come in contact with a variety of chemicals and chemical waste products, some of which can be hazardous.

The successful candidate must possess the following:

-Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds, work in extreme temperatures, indoors and out.

-Perform special, routine, and preventive maintenance on production milling equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

 

-Diagnose and address mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues promptly to minimize downtime.

 

-Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of milling equipment.

 

-Perform basic electrical installations and upgrades as needed.

 

-Conduct welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment components.

 

-Ensure welding work meets industry standards for safety and quality.

 

-Analyze equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.

 

-Collaborate with other department teams to identify and address root causes of issues.

 

-Utilize web-based applications for equipment monitoring, data analysis, and maintenance scheduling.

 

-Stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance equipment monitoring and diagnostics.

 

-Use Microsoft Suite applications for documentation, reporting, and communication.

 

-Update and maintain detailed maintenance records and reports.

 

-Employ strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

-Implement data-driven strategies to enhance overall equipment reliability.

 

-Ability to obtain a waste water certification within 14 months of hire date.

 

-Ability to attend training courses both locally and nationally.

 

-Perform other tasks as assigned or required.
