Job Title:  Maintenance Technician

This position will have a strong focus on mechanical systems, and have basic understanding of electrical, electronics, and instrumentation processes.

The Maintenance specialist will troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, repair and perform both predictive and preventive maintenance on production process equipment, instrumentation, and plant mechanical and electrical systems to ensure a quality product.

The specialist will work and interface with plant management, peers, contractor maintenance personnel and plant operations staff.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years Industrial Maintenance experience required.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

• Basic operation of DC & AC Circuits
• Basic operation of 3-phase AC power
• DC/AC Motor and Drive theory
• Basic understanding of automated valves and instrumentation
• Basic electrical relay logic circuits
• Basic understanding of mechanical gear boxes
• Demonstrate basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Basic understanding of pneumatic diaphragm pumps
• Basic operation of temperature, pressure and flow control loops
• How to read & interpret electrical drawings and instrument loop sheets.
• How to read, interpret and troubleshoot PLC programs
• How to use basic hand tools.
• Demonstrate basic welding skills
• Possesses basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
• Maintains area housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace
• Interacts with other technicians to share maintenance knowledge on similar equipment or related maintenance problems.
• Works with other maintenance personnel to successfully resolve an issue even it is not electrically related.
• Willingness to work overtime and respond to call in requests as plant support is needed. 
• Willingness to train and develop production operators to perform basic maintenance tasks.
