Job Title:  Production Supervisor (2nd shift)

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day oversight of all production activities for his assigned shift the Pine Bluff facility and associated manufacturing technicians.  The Production Supervisor will also need to work closely with support personnel to include safety, maintenance, supply chain, administrative, and quality departments to ensure that our objectives are met.  Measurable criteria will include TIR, quality of product, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and conversion cost improvement.

 The Production Supervisor will directly report to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Create and reinforce a safety culture in all manufacturing employees
• Address any production related safety audit deficiencies through implementation of appropriate procedures or maintenance solutions.
• Manage  manufacturing technicians  to achieve discretionary performance
• Communicate with Manufacturing Manager and supply chain personnel on production issues related to batch size, equipment utilization, and material sourcing
• Optimize the manufacturing process by:
  • Utilization of 5s principles
  • Application of Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Perform effective root cause analysis on all problems and implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
  • Operate production and direct personnel to produce efficiently and maintain high equipment utilization rates
• Effectively utilize the production board to communicate expectations to operators
• Manage production personnel in accord with company policies and guidelines to include safety procedures, attendance policy, standard operating procedures, batch ticket instructions and required documentation 
• Ensure consistent communication to all shifts and accountability for operator performance as compared to company expectations
• Coordinate required preventive maintenance activities to ensure such maintenance is performed as scheduled with as little downtime as possible
