Experience / Education Requirements
- Minimum three years of successful manufacturing experience
- History of a safe work performance in an industrial setting
- High School diploma or equivalent
Skill Requirements
- Must have mechanical aptitude skills to perform minor repairs to vessels and equipment as needed
- Must have good communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Highly motivated team player
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must have basic math skills
- Ability to read and understand all SOPs as well as maintain working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the process
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 100 pounds as necessary, work in extreme temperatures and be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be flexible and able to work overtime as needed
- Must have a good attendance record and maintain acceptable attendance
Responsibilities:
- Operation of the plant’s equipment per standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety guidelines - open and close valves, operate pumps, operate forklifts, pull material from storage racks, monitor batches as they mix, and lift and dump bags of material up to 100 lbs.
- Batch processing includes charging material, processing batch, monitoring and recording data, loading, unloading and cleaning equipment, packaging product, maintaining a safe and orderly work area, assisting other production areas as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the process.
- Must become thoroughly knowledgeable in the process of producing a quality batch and must be able to troubleshoot any issues that occur during the process.
- Perform daily housekeeping in work areas, all equipment and common areas.
- Adhere to 5S responsibilities, and inspections.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record which will be monitored continuously.
- Be knowledgeable and adhere to all safety requirements.
