POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graphic Technical Center Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Customer Graphic Technical Center by ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective management of ink room operations, inventory, color management, technical support, and personnel. This role partners closely with customers, production teams, and Flint Group Technical Services to deliver exceptional service while achieving operational, quality, safety, and financial objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Lead the daily operations of the Graphic Technical Center and supervise Graphic Technicians.
· Manage staffing, scheduling, training, performance, and employee development.
· Oversee ink management, color matching, inventory, and quality control processes.
· Provide technical support and resolve ink, color, and press-related issues.
· Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and operational documentation.
· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and customer requirements.
· Monitor inventory, reduce waste, and manage obsolete materials and press returns.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
· Maintain accurate production, quality, and inventory records.
· Build strong customer relationships and support business objectives.
· Perform Graphic Technician duties as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical, manufacturing, or business-related field preferred.
· 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, printing, ink, or production environment.
· Strong knowledge of ink management, color matching, inventory control, and quality systems.
· Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
· Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory management systems.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
· Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to work in manufacturing and pressroom environments.
· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Ability to distinguish colors accurately for color matching and quality inspections.
