POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Ink Technician is responsible for safely performing all aspects of ink preparation and support to ensure the successful operation of the customer’s production environment. This role supports customer performance by delivering high-quality, press-ready inks while adhering to Flint Group’s corporate policies, safety standards, and core values.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Adhere to all safety policies, participate in safety training, and properly use PPE
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace using Lean and 5S principles
  • Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to support production schedules
  • Perform quality checks, including color control using X-Rite or similar equipment
  • Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting as needed
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records
  • Assist with job scheduling and ink estimations for upcoming production
  • Manage ink inventory levels, ensuring proper stock and minimizing excess
  • Follow and support work-off ink processes to reduce waste

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in printing, ink manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and color accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
