JOB PURPOSE:

Flint Group is seeking a Regulatory Data Specialist to work remotely. This position works to ensure continuous compliance for industrial ink and coatings products in support of Flint Groups’ commercial teams in North America. Candidates should have working knowledge of US and Canadian regulations and strong interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Regulatory Raw Materials Documents management in GRMC data base (especially in the North and Latin America region)
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of Flint Group raw material and products worldwide
  • Maintaining regulatory data in SAP and Information Authoring systems
  • Support Flint Group Customer Regulatory and PSRA   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain regulatory records, manage and update regulatory system data in various databases
  • Prepare data and documents to support internal and external customer regulatory needs
  • Review raw material introductions for compliance against regional and global regulations
  • Monitor regional regulatory activities to identify upcoming regulatory changes
  • Quickly act to address data and systems issues to ensure compliant movement of goods
  • Align regional projects with global counterparts.
  • Enact regulatory strategies related to regional regulatory changes (e.g. Prop 65, TSCA, DSL, FDA, etc.)
  • Support Customer Regulatory and PSRA by generating relevant, reliable and accurate data
  • Support teams in compliance checks of new suppliers, new raw materials and movement of goods across different jurisdictions
  • Active participation in Global/ Regional Regulatory meetings and related projects
  • Share daily business management responsibilities with team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Educational background: minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field is required. (Chemistry preferred, but other disciplines with organic chemistry coursework/experience are acceptable)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Regulatory Affairs/Product Stewardship role in the chemical industry
  • Proficient with Office software system
  • Experience with SAP and/or Data Sheet authoring systems (Sphera IA systems is an advantage)
  • Knowledge and experience with North Americas and transport regulations (e.g. TSCA, Prop 65, DSL, IATA, IMDG, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English with colleagues and other professionals, in a positive, pleasant, professional and productive manner through communicators and email
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, self-starter, naturally inquisitive
  • Detail-oriented work ethic while handling multiple ongoing projects/tasks is required
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute within deadlines
  • Flexible working attitude and used to a changing environment
  • Collaborative with teammates to develop a cohesive team
  • Successful experience working with international teams is an advantage
