Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Operations Manager to lead daily operations at Ontario, California manufacturing site. This role is ideal for a builder—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix, batch-production environment and can lead a team while implementing the systems and processes necessary to scale performance.

You will be responsible for overseeing production, improving operational efficiency, developing people, and driving continuous improvement. Candidates must have strong leadership skills, experience with lean manufacturing principles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost goals
  • Build and implement standardized processes, visual controls, and KPI tracking
  • Champion a lean manufacturing mindset; identify and eliminate waste in all forms
  • Coordinate maintenance needs with external vendors; ensure preventative tasks are completed
  • Coach and develop frontline supervisors and production teams; drive engagement and accountability
  • Ensure timely and accurate batch ticket closure and raw material reconciliation
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, quality, and leadership to meet customer commitments
  • Foster a culture of safety, consistency, and operational discipline

Qualifications

  • Experience in batch processing industries such as chemicals, coatings, or inks preferred
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and root cause analysis
  • Demonstrated success building teams, systems, and structure in a production setting
  • Proven ability to lead change, hold teams accountable, and drive results
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence
