The role of the Marketing Manager (Sheetfed, SF) is to support the global SF business segment with Marketing & Communications initiatives that help drive the growth strategy.
In order to meet the increasing demand from our Sales force for more and faster marketing content and support, this role will ensure tight alignment and prioritisation in order to deliver assets and sales enablement on time.
The role will liaise closely with the SF Sales & Technical teams as well as Key Account Management teams, while maintaining strong relationships to a wider range of stakeholders across multiple areas of the business. The role will collaborate cross-functionally to align development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives – helping to position Flint Group Packaging as one integrated company across markets, segments and regions.
The Marketing Manager will own the development of the SF segment MarCom plan and lead its implementation and execution.
Role Purpose:
- Support Flint Group’s growth strategy and go-to-market approach for the SF segment across geographical regions
- Ensure the SF product portfolio is presented consistently and effectively to strengthen market profile and positioning, and lead product launches and promotion initiatives
- Facilitate value proposition development and drive clear, compelling product messaging across all sales channels (direct and in-direct)
- Translate market & customer trends into product marketing positioning and communication topics
- Develop marketing content and assets to secure a continuous digital presence for SF products and services
- Develop and distribute core product presentations and sales materials to support Sales & Technical & KAM teams
- Lead planning and execution of selected industry events & conferences across regions
- Measure effectiveness and business impact of MarCom initiatives, documenting the value delivered
Role Deliverables & Accountability:
- Define and articulate value propositions, differentiation, and core benefits for SF product categories in close collaboration with Product and Sales teams
- Create and maintain core product- and sales presentations to be used in front of customers (in collaboration with Product Management & Services team)
- Collaborate with regions to address support needs and integrate feedback on local requirements into MarCom plans
- Support product brand strategy & naming process in collaboration with Product Management, and the Brand & Communications team
- Develop core content and marketing assets for Flint Group’s website & platforms (copy/text, product flyers, videos, infographics, papers, blogposts)
- Maintain the SF marketing assets on our digital platforms (e.g. Brandfolder, FlintLink, Umbraco CMS)
- Support development of digital features e.g. “value calculators” or “product selectors” for use in customer facing interactions.
- Identify and drive creation of internal SF customer case stories and external SF customer testimonials (written & video format)
- Support development of product training materials & help facilitate internal sessions
- Brief and manage external specialist resources (freelancers & agencies) where necessary
- Act as operational project manager for agreed Marketing projects, while securing successful implementation & evaluation of agreed initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
- Background in the Packaging Industry (ink & coatings manufacturer, converter/printer, or brand owner) or in a global technical B2B manufacturing environment
- Proven track record managing marketing programmes across multiple international markets
- Experience with account-based marketing and driving sales via distributor networks
- Commercially oriented with strategic, structured thinking skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft PowerPoint

The job requires a limited amount of travel (2-5 times per year). Flexibility of working hours may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
