Job Title:  Technician, Lab

Job description:

Shift: 7 AM to 3.30 PM or 6 AM to 2.30 PM

This position is responsible for providing Color Support Service to both internal teams and external customers in the Packaging Division.

Daily activities include color matching with hand proofers, formula adjustment, and creating color proofs. Activities are split between standing lab bench and computer work.

Key job responsibilities:

• Match colors by combining gram quantities of bases on a table top scale, proofing by hand roller, then evaluating by visual comparison or a digital spectrophotometer with color software.
• Entering formulas into specified computer program, following guidelines for appropriate code assignment.
• Make color swatch proofs by hand proofing, trimming and labeling.
• Communicate with customers and team members using a web page portal, email and phone calls.

Competencies:

The following competencies would be beneficial.

• 1+ years of color, ink or printing experience
• Strong ability to combine and visually evaluate color
• Familiar with the use of digital spectrometers & software; X-Rite, IFS, eXact
• Ability to deliver multiply projects and assignments
• Inclined to work in a fast paced, team environment
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Computer literacy; Word and Excel
• Conversational Spanish and/or French
