Job Title:  Production Operator

The Process Operator position performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products in the ink manufacturing department.  The position follows standard work methods and practices safe habits to ensure production is as efficient as safe as possible.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Able to read, interpret and follow instructions contained on batch tickets for producing ink
  • Consistently fill out all required paperwork completely, correctly, and in a timely manner.
  • Able to utilize the SAP computer software for label printing.
  • Must operate a drum lift correctly for the purpose of manufacturing inks.
  • Ability to set and read scale as it pertains to manufacturing inks.
  • Trained and certified to operate a forklift for the purpose of manufacturing ink.
  • Able to manufacture water based inks independently.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with site and corporate policies at all times
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Attendance is an essential function of this position and we rely on all our employees to be at work during their schedule shift
  • Must be willing to assist in other areas and perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for 90% of the day
  • Must be able to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have good basic reading and math skills
  • Basic computer, typing, and SAP experience preferred but not required
  • Previous production experience preferred but not required
