Job Title: Printing Operator

Main Purpose

• Providing the necessary professional press support for customer projects as well as for New Products in order to maintain and defend our current position and to accelerate growth of new products and technologies
• Differentiating us from competition through and uplift of the press and press room capabilities, leading to a “state of the art 2024” press facilities, in order to continue high quality customer and sales support
• Building know-how on our product’s press performance allowing a faster and improved trouble shooting and technical service for our customers through “product – press” relationship

Responsabilities and deliverables

• Independently run our UV flexo printing press and conduct print trials in the frame of e.g. customer projects, internal development projects and co-supplier projects for the growing sub-market segments in the Narrow Web Industry (shrink sleeves and flexible packaging)
• Own the press schedule with regards to coordinating and scheduling printing trials and maintaining a “state of the art 2024” press and press room in all aspects
• Provide project leader and/or their delegates support in print process questions with aim to improve existing products and processes and also for new development
• Arranges a range of different set ups/modules, pre-designed to be used for internal testing and for customer trials (e.g. module for printing shrink sleeves)
• Provide printing assistance to sales, marketing and customer requests
• Continuously maintain and improve the press and press room area in all of its aspects, including the substrate warehouse and coordination of supply of substrates in order to ensure continuous operations
• Responsible for designing and keeping track of all documentation related to press trials and press room
• Provides a high level of application support of new inks and coatings (UV, UV LED Inks) at our targeted winning accounts in strategic segments like PSL, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging
• Participate in internal and external trouble shooting meetings that are product (UV and UV LED inks) and/or process related (Flexo, offset, screen, etc….)
• Has full responsibility for small customer projects
• Provide technical studies to develop or improve products and processes
• Responsible for maintaining laboratory records concerning press trials, customer visits at site, technical lab projects, etc…

• Engineer with Flexo printing and press experience
• Strong technical and print-mechanical skills (Narrow Web presses)
• Good knowledge of printing processes (flexo and screen)
• Knowledge of UV curable and WB inks & coatings
• Knowledge of labels, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging applications
• Trouble shooting capabilities
• Ability to work with others (internally/externally) at all levels
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
